Below are five of our favorite US travel destinations to visit this holiday season.

New York City

New York is the perfect place to spend a long weekend if you can get away or if you don’t have any other plans for the holidays.  You can enjoy many of the city’s festivities and feel like you’re in a true winter wonderland.

If you want to see Manhattan in a more traditional way, you can start by getting tickets to see the Radio City Rockettes and watch A Christmas Spectacular.  In addition, you can enjoy the lovely tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center on December 4.

Other typical NYC winter-related things to do are viewing the spectacular windows and holiday displays.  You can go ice skating in Central Park or Bryant Park to really take in the season like a New Yorker.

If you’d like to visit the city and experience city culture there are many things to do as well.  You can visit one of NYC’s many restaurants or take a walk through Times Square. Additionally, there are street vendors to enjoy, NYC psychic readings, tarot readings, boutiques, bars and so much more.

Denver

Denver during the holidays is truly a spectacular site if you are one who loves the cold and snow.  You can visit Denver during the winter season and take the short drive to Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge and more to spend your days skiing and snowboarding like a pro.

Denver is a great place to see the state of Colorado.  From this convenient and central city, you can spend your days exploring some of Colorado’s more distant cities.  If you don’t like skiing, there are many other things you can do to enjoy your stay.

Whether you choose to enjoy the snow in an athletic sort of way, or spend your days exploring the cities museums, bars and eateries, Denver is a great little getaway for those who love the winter.

Miami

If you’re not as much of a fan of the cold, Miami is a great place to go.  With so much nightlife and beauty, you will probably not want to leave when vacation’s over!

With temperatures in the 70’s, you can break out your shorts and stroll through South Beach.  Additionally, you can explore the city by biking and rollerblading and explore the picturesque beaches.

If you want to do something a little out of the ordinary, visit one of Miami’s local businesses.  You can visit Miami psychic readings, Miami Seaquarium, Bayside Marketplace and more.  Miami is full of things to do that will satisfy any taste.

Las Vegas

Another great thing to do during the winter months (especially for New Year’s Eve) is visiting Las Vegas.  You can enjoy the city and the nightlife and more. But remember to bring your Canon Powershot G7 or you might not remember your visit!

Visit the popular Las Vegas strip where all the nightlife happens.  You can stay at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino to really take in the city and spend your money in style.  But whatever you decide, you’re sure to have a great time in this wonderful and warm city!

Los Angeles

Another beautiful place to visit during the winter months is Los Angeles, CA.  Although the weather is a bit nippier, there are plenty of things to do and it rarely creeps below 50 degrees.

You can visit the Los Angeles zoo or Knotts Berry Farms.  Additionally, tickets for many of the city’s attractions are a bit lower in the winter.  Another great thing to do in the Los Angeles area is to sip hot chocolate at popular Café Demitasse.

Conclusion:

There are many wonderful things to do in the US that will make your winter even more special.  And whether you’re a lover of the cold or not, there’s somewhere for you!
